Henrique Haas

Henrique Haas is an Earth System scientist specializing in hydrology and water quality. His research integrates hydrologic modeling, remote sensing, geospatial analysis, field observations, and stakeholder engagement to understand how climate, land use, and management practices interact to influence hydrological processes, water availability, and water quality. In August 2026, he will join the Department of Animal and Range Sciences at New Mexico State University (NMSU) as an Assistant Professor of Watershed Management. Prior to NMSU, he was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Center for Climate Systems Research at Columbia University and the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS). He earned his M.S. in Natural Resources in 2020 and his Ph.D. in Earth System Science in 2024 from Auburn University.
